Fish Hook Removal (Video Tutorial)

Our friend Michael Chilton put together this hands-on tutorial of how to (safely) remove a hook. Definitely don't try this at home, but when you inevitably hook yourself, you'll know what to do.

Fish long enough and you’re bound to hook yourself.

This video demonstrates a fish hook removal method that can keep you fishing without a trip to the doctor.

And I don’t just tell you how, I actually stick a barbed #2 hook in my leg and then remove it. To make it even more interesting, it was shot at 1500 frames per second, so you won’t miss a thing. It should go without saying, but don’t try this at home.
